Whether you like to go au natural or you wanna amp up your look, we have everything you need to create a lip routine.
If you have only ever used a pop of lipstick or a clear gloss, the idea of using two or more products on your lips might feel a little daunting, but follow our guide below and discover simple lip routines for every occasion.
Everything you need to create a lip routine- Leaving you plumped & Glossy
- Step 1 prep your lips
- Step 2 apply lip liner
- Step 3 apply lipstick
- Step 4 finish with gloss
1. Prep your lips
If you want your lips to look the best they can be, then it’s all about the prep. Use a lip scrub and a lip mask to leave them moisturised and hydrated. This will prevent the colour from clinging to any dry patches. Take a look at our top picks from Barry M and Missguided Beauty.
2. Apply lip liner
Choose your shade. You wanna pick a lip liner that closely matches the colour of your lipstick. It doesn’t have to be the exact same brand or range, but try to get it as close as possible. To apply the liner, use short natural strokes, starting from the top corner of your lip. Follow the natural lip line downwards, creating the illusion of bigger lips. Repeat the same steps to your bottom lip too.
You can also fill in your full lip with liner for a longer lasting colour.
3. Apply lipstick
Next, apply your matching lipstick straight from the tube or with a brush for extra precision. The lip liner should dry almost instantly, so no need to wait around.
4. Finish with gloss
If you are wearing a matte lipstick, then add the finishing touch with a high shine gloss. This creates the appearance of fuller looking lips and protects the colour of your lipstick.
